By ticking the box at checkout, you confirm you have read and agree to this waiver.
Space Hire Agreement
You are hiring the studio at 4/3 Ozone Parade, Miami QLD without our team on site, so these are simple ground rules: respect the space, respect the neighbours and leave it as you found it. Ticking the agreement box at checkout means you accept all of it.
1. Holding amount ($500)
A $500 holding amount is pre-authorised on your card at checkout. It is a hold, not a charge, and is released after your booking once we have checked the space is in the condition you found it.
- It is released within [X] business days of your booking ending. Your bank's processing time may add to this.

- Public workshops are 18+ only. Bring photo ID, as we may check it on arrival and Velvet Cafe may check it again at service.
- Kids' workshops and parties are always non-alcoholic.
- Please drink at your own pace. Water is available throughout.
Studio hire

When we or Velvet Cafe refuse service
We and Velvet Cafe may refuse alcohol to anyone who is intoxicated, underage or cannot show ID, and may ask a guest to leave. We do not give refunds when this happens.
Your acknowledgement
By booking, you confirm that you and everyone in your group are 18 or over where alcohol is served (apart from guests at a kids' booking), that you will drink responsibly, and that ID may be checked.
Child Safety
This policy covers School Holiday Workshops and kids' party bookings at Made on Ave, 4/3 Ozone Parade, Miami QLD. Public workshops are 18+ only.
Our instructors
Every instructor who runs a session with children holds a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), as Queensland law requires. We check this before they run any children's session.
Supervision
- Drop-off is allowed, and parents and guardians are welcome to stay. If you drop off, you must be contactable by phone for the whole session.
- Our instructor-to-child ratio is 1 to 10.
- Children must be collected on time by a parent, guardian or someone you have named as authorised on your consent form.
- Children must stay inside the studio and follow instructor directions.
Consent form
The booking parent or guardian completes a Child Safety & Consent Form before the session. It lists every child attending, allergies and medical needs, an emergency contact and who may collect the children. A parent or guardian can only consent for their own child, so a guest's child needs their own parent or guardian to complete an entry.
Drinks and activities
- Kids' bookings are always non-alcoholic.
- Sessions may involve flowers, clay, small charms and tools. Children use small parts only under supervision, and we tell you in advance if a session uses resin. [Confirm: child-safe resin product.]
- Tell us about allergies, sensitivities or small-parts concerns when you book.
Photos
We only photograph children in the way you have agreed on your consent form: internal records only, shared on our website or Instagram, or no photos at all. A child's first name is never posted with their photo unless you separately agree. You can change your choice at any time by contacting us.
Incidents and concerns
- We record any injury, incident or concern about a child's safety and tell the parent or guardian on the day.
- In an emergency we call 000 first, then you.
- If you have a concern about a child at Made on Ave, tell an instructor straight away or message us on Instagram @madeonave_. We take every concern seriously.
- Serious concerns are reported to the relevant authorities, as the law requires.
Our standards
Our team behaves respectfully with children at all times. Instructors are not alone with a child out of view of other adults.
